What does a landlord actually see about me?
That you qualify, your income-to-rent ratio, your move-in window, and that you are verified. Not your name, documents, exact income, or balances. Your name is shared only after you accept that landlord.
What does Plaid see?
Plaid reads your bank to confirm income and balances. Nessoo never sees your login. Nothing can be moved. Disconnect any time from your profile.
How is my identity verified?
A photo of a government ID and a selfie, matched by a licensed identity provider. Nessoo stores the result, not your photos.
How long does verification take?
About five minutes for both steps. Most bank connections confirm instantly. Identity checks usually finish in under two minutes.
What does it cost?
Looking and matching are free. Verifying is one fee, once, shown before you pay and capped by law at $20 in New York. No broker fee.
Can I use Nessoo with roommates or a guarantor?
Yes. Invite them from your account. Once they verify, their income counts with yours.
What is the 40× rule?
Many New York landlords require annual income of forty times the monthly rent. Homey uses it, along with each landlord's own criteria, to tell you what you qualify for before you request.
Where is Nessoo available?
New York City and New Jersey today. Atlanta is next.
Can I use it without verifying?
Yes. Set up your search and see matches. Requesting a unit needs verification, because that is what landlords are accepting.
How do I delete my account?
Email hello@nessoo.com from your account address. We delete your profile, results, and conversations, and disconnect Plaid.
